What will happen to Earth if our moon is dragged away?
Without the moon, humans wouldn’t exist. Life, if it had started at all, would be in the earliest stages of evolution. Days would last four hours, winds would blow at hurricane force and there would be a dense and toxic atmosphere resembling that of Venus. The pull from the moon would disappear, thus unbalancing Earth’s orbit. This would lead to the Earth plunging out of its current orbit in a direction which depends on the position of the moon and Earth at that time. It would result in a more elliptical orbit and greater extremes in temperature and massive climate changes would make our planet uninhabitable.
If we did not have a Moon there would be no lunar tides. (We would still have tides caused by the sun, but these would only be about 1/3 as great as the current tides.) There would also be no total solar eclipses which I think would be a shame. We might get hit more often by asteroids, as the Moon probably takes some that would otherwise hit us, so that might have meant that life couldn’t have developed so well (that’s a bit speculative). These swings would provoke drastic climate changes.
Knowing this, we should all worship the moon because we might have not evolved into what we are without it.

I’m Pagan so I do worship the moon.
“Knowing this, we should all worship the moon…”
Deuteronomy 4:19 –
“And when you look up to the sky and see the sun, the moon and the stars—all the heavenly array—do not be enticed into bowing down to them and worshiping things the LORD your God has apportioned to all the nations under heaven”
Acts 7:42 –
“But God turned away from them and gave them over to the worship of the sun, moon and stars”
Romans 1:25 –
“They exchanged the truth about God for a lie, and worshiped and served created things rather than the Creator—who is forever praised. Amen.”
I’m assuming you did not take the Bible into consideration when you made your comment. Therefore I assume that your comment was not influenced by the teachings of the Bible. Therefore, I believe that you may be unfamiliar with the above verses and they are particularly pertinent to you and your current beliefs. I hope that these verses will help to guide you to the truth. Thank you for re-affirming the teachings of the Bible.
Hahaha! Who cares? Not everyone is a believer silly goose.
And thank you for reaffirming the reason you should never use the word “assume” when challenging someone’s opinion or speculation. Assume something and you make an ass of yourself.
You are a sad, strange little man AND YOU HAVE MY PITY!!
