There’s a Kingdom of Little People in China.

Everyone in the mountain commune in Kunming, southern China, must be under 4ft 3 ins tall, aged between 18-40 years old and can be from any part of the country. They run their own police force and fire brigade from their 120 residents. The group turned itself into a tourist attraction by building concrete mushroom houses and dressing like fairy tale characters and medieval soldiers to perform group songs and dances in large amphitheatres. They also performing tricks such as balancing bottles on their chins and singing love songs. They even have a king, who wears black sunglasses under a golden royal crown with matching mushroom embroidered gold jacket. Tourists arrive at the park to watch the shows before being presented with flowers by the residents and staying for a coffee or a meal before returning home. Owner Cheng Mingjing says he plans to spend more than $100 million over the next few years on the park, expanding his empire to employ more than 1,000 dwarves.
