Just 6.5 percent of all people ever born are alive today
Of all the people ever born, only 6.5% walk the earth at present. The statistics have been shown at length in a study made by a professor at the Rockefeller and Columbia Universities in New York City. To calculate the number of people that have lived ever, this scientist began his calculation assuming the existence of two people in the 50000 B.C.- Adam and Eve. Then by the use of the historical growth rates it was found out that over 106 billion people have been born of which the people alive today comprise only over 6 percent.
For example till 1650 the population only increased by 500 million. However, with the ever increasing quality of life and better facilities, the population doubled in the next mere 150 years, and ever since 2002, when this professor made his last calculations the population of the world had burst to a whopping 6.2 billion. Currently the population has been increasing by 1.2% per year, which has comparatively slowed down owing to the awareness in the citizens as against a 2.1% growth in the late 1960′s. Although population models predict that the world population growth will peak and slow down at around 11 billion.

What kind of horseshit is this? People have been around for thousands of years before that Adam and Eve bullshit.
Right? I knew something was wrong when I saw that number. 6.5%? That’s ridiculously high.
